BoxMemory ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use BoxMemory.

1. Overview

BoxMemory is an offline-first application.

We do not collect, store, process, or transmit any user content.

All information you create within the app including box names, location tags, notes, and photos is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers because we do not operate any servers that receive or store user data.

2. Permissions & Device Access

BoxMemory requests the following permissions solely to provide core functionality:

Permission	Purpose
Camera	Photograph the exterior of your boxes and their contents
Photo Library	Select existing photos from your device
Photo Library Add	Save photos taken within the app

You may revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

3. Data Storage

All BoxMemory data is stored locally on your device.

This includes:

• Box data
• Location tags
• Notes
• Photos associated with boxes

Photos are stored within the app's private directory on your device.

We do not have access to this data and cannot view, modify, or retrieve it.

4. Data Backup & Export

BoxMemory includes an optional backup feature that creates a ZIP archive containing your box data and associated photos.

You may choose to export or share this file using your device’s native share sheet, including services such as Files, iCloud Drive, email, Google Drive, Dropbox, or other compatible apps.

Backup creation and sharing are fully controlled by you.

BoxMemory does not automatically back up data and does not receive any copies of exported files.

Any data you choose to store with third-party services is subject to those services' own privacy policies.

BoxMemory also includes an import and restore feature that reads previously exported backup files and reconstructs your data locally on your device. This process occurs entirely on-device and does not involve any external servers.

5. Pricing

BoxMemory offers a free tier that supports up to 3 boxes.

A one-time Pro upgrade unlocks additional features including unlimited boxes, backup & export, import & restore, and removal of ads. No subscriptions or recurring charges.

During testing, Pro features may be available to testers at no cost.

If in-app purchases are available, they will be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and will be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

6. Data Security

Because all BoxMemory data is stored locally on your device, the security of your information depends on your device's security.

7. Third-Party Services

BoxMemory does not use:

• Analytics services
• Advertising networks
• Tracking technologies
• User accounts
• Cloud synchronization services

The app does not transmit user content to third parties.

If you choose to export and share backup files using external services, those services operate independently of BoxMemory and are governed by their own privacy policies.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete individual boxes, or all of them, and their associated data at any time within the app.

If you uninstall BoxMemory, all locally stored app data is removed from your device.

Any backup files you previously exported remain in the locations where you saved them and must be deleted separately if desired.

9. Children's Privacy

BoxMemory is not directed to children under the age of 13.

Because BoxMemory does not collect any user content or personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
